So there's a chance my D&D group will be doing something really cool at some point, so I took it on myself to learn to draw baby dragons. Or rather, very young/young dragons.. At first I only wanted to familiarize myself with the different varieties, but it actually wound up being a really interesting challenge. The official designs are pretty animalistic and it was fun to figure out how to let them have facial expressions without being totally unrecognizable. Also most of them have so much armour and spikes on their heads that it''s hard to decide what can move.
There are still a few lingering issues. I never got around to Brass or Black dragons, and the Silver came out a little doofy. I think the Red needs a revisit, too. Hard to emote without pupils. Still, it's a good start and I learned what I needed to know.
